It takes a Village

808 Elm Ave, Waco, TX 76704
- Description
- Artists: Samuel & Kim Torres, 2005 This mural was created as part of the “Color Us Proud” project through NeighborWorks and Doreen Ravenscrof of Waco Cultural Arts Fest. It was based on the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child,” an Igbo and Yoruba proverb that exists in many African languages. The thought behind the mural was the resurgences of East Waco and its community. We must, as a community, see the potential of every child and cultivate their potential into integral parts of our future.
