- Description
- This mural was created as part of the “Color Us Proud” project through NeighborWorks and Doreen Ravenscrof of Waco Cultural Arts Fest. It was based on the phrase, “It takes a village to raise a child,” an Igbo and Yoruba proverb that exists in many African languages. The thought behind the mural was the resurgences of East Waco and its community. We must, as a community, see the potential of every child and cultivate their potential into integral parts of our future.
