- Metamorphosis was inspired by the original art of Kathleen L. Slavin who was a part of Lovely Village and passed January of 2021. She struggled with mental health differences throughout her life and used art to transform her pain. The year she passed, several Lovely Village neighbors were lost and Will Suarez was commissioned to take one of Kathleen’s drawings and transform it into a mural representing a becoming for the many women we lost. It was named 'Metamorphosis.'
