- Dakota granite, base Fredericksburg granite. 2002 Sculptor: Jesús Bautista Moroles Jesús Moroles , (1950-2015) International sculptor known for his abstract granite sculptures. He lived and worked in Rockport, Texas, where his studio and workshop were based, and where all of his work was prepared and finished before being shipped out for installation. “Las Mesas” was exhibited at the Cultural Arts of Waco “Waco National Outdoor Sculpture Invitational” 2005 and was donated to the city in July 2005. It can be viewed in front of the Waco Convention Center.
